Platform description

solo.quando is a demand-first pre-order marketplace connecting home bakers ("Producers") with buyers ("Buyers") in Switzerland. The platform operates at soloquando.ch. Theoni Paschou acts as an intermediary; the contract for any food item is concluded directly between the Producer and the Buyer.

Legal form

solo.quando currently operates as an individual enterprise (Einzelunternehmen) under Swiss law. GmbH registration is planned after initial traction is established.

Food safety

All food listed on solo.quando is subject to the Swiss Federal Act on Foodstuffs and Utility Articles (LMG, SR 817.0) and the Swiss Food and Utility Articles Ordinance (LGV, SR 817.02). Every listing must declare all ingredients and allergens before publication. Producers are responsible for compliance with all applicable Swiss food-safety regulations.

solo.quando is applying to the Innovation Sandbox of the Canton of Zürich (Amt für Wirtschaft, Standortförderung) to co-develop the regulatory framework for home-baker platforms with the regulator.

Intellectual property

The solo.quando brand, logo, website design, and original content are the property of Theoni Paschou. Nothing may be reproduced or used commercially without prior written consent. Producers retain ownership of their recipes, photos, and stories, and grant solo.quando a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content for operating the platform.
